She’s nearly six months pregnant and Kate Middleton is already
planning her baby shower! Luckily, the Duchess of Cambridge comes from a
family of party gurus, including sister Pippa.
“It was her sister Pippa’s idea,” a friend of Kate’s told OK! magazine.
The
insider added, “Pippa is in charge of decorations. Wine and beer will
be available -- not that Kate will be drinking alcohol, of course there
will certainly be none of the hard stuff.”
The younger Middleton
is the right woman for the job. Last year she authored the book
“Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends,” and has
ample access to shower décor… thanks to her parents’ approximately
$45-million business, Party Pieces.
While baby showers fall outside of typical royal tradition, the source said Kate still hopes the Queen will attend.
“While
it’s all going to be very relaxed and fun, Kate is hoping the Queen
will drop by, because the two are remarkably close," the insider said.
"They bonded big time and really enjoy each other’s company. Since this
is going to be a first for royals, Kate would love the Queen to be part
of it.”
