23-year-old Law graduate Ezinne Akudo is new Miss Nigeria

A 23-year-old Law graduate of Abia State University, Anyaoha Ezinne Akudo has been crowned Miss Nigeria, beating 33 other contestants to emerge the 38th winner of the beauty pageant which held on Saturday, July 7, 2013.
Held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos the pageant returned after a two-year hiatus with a new Creative Director Elohor Aisien and a new management team headed by the Executive Coordinator, Salome Eseremo after former organizer Nike Oshinowo stepped down in 2012.
Ezinne Akudo was crowned by Miss Nigeria 1957 – 82-year-old Grace Atinuke Oyelude.
The pageant took a new twist this year with a reality show hosted by Jumai Shaba. The pageant was sponsored by the Edo State Government with the reality show sponsored by the Ekiti State Government.
The event was anchored by comedian AY and TV show host Eku Edewor with music performance from Tiwa Savage, KCEE and Seyi Shay along with other theatrics.
Popular faces at the pageant include Mo Abudu, Ekiti State First Lady Bisi FayemiAbike Dabiri, Raymond Dokpesi and his wife Moji and many others.
