Fayose shades the Federal government over road construction

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State recently flagged of the construction of a Federal Government road that runs through his state and attracted hilarious comments for throwing shades at the FG. Governor Ayo Fayose flagged off the construction of the Efon-Aramoko-Igede-Ado Road, and decided to subtly shade the Federal Government, whose responsibility it was to take care of the road.

He had a sign board set up which read: “This is a neglected federal road, but in the overall interest of the Ekiti people, I will fix it.

However, somebody must tell the Federal Government to be responsible.”

Since the picture of the sign went viral, people have taken to social media to say how they feel about it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HON. JONATHAN OBUEBITE

CELEBRATING A QUINTESSENTIAL PUBLIC SERVANT ‎

Several years ago when he made his way into this world the predictions by even the world best clairvoyant on what he will be in future could not have been so perfect. But one thing was for sure; greatness was all over him from birth.
Beginning his early life, Jonathan was a dutiful boy with great respect for elders as he was fond of running errands for anyone who desires his service. That part of his life endeared him to many and in reward he got lots of blessings and gifts.
When it was time for school he never missed the opportunity, journeying from primary to Enitonia High School Borokiri in Port Harcourt, Rivers State for his secondary education before gaining admission into the Rivers State University of Science and Technology where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.sc) in Banking and Finance in 1998.
Joe as he is also known went further in the same higher institution to obtain a Master degree in Business Administration MBA Management in 2002 before proceeding to the Harvard Business School, United States of America for an executive education program graduating in 2010.
His love for education has driven him to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State where he is currently pursing a doctorate degree in Business Administration.
As a man who loves the happiness of his people, he decided to venture into politics. He began as the Senior Special Assistant on State Capital Development to former governor, Late Chief DSP Alamieyesigha between June 2003 and December 2005. Serving diligently during that period.
Knowing how resourceful he was, he was elevated to the position of Special Adviser on Youths, Government House Transport and Logistics. His stint there was very rewarding and it came to an end in January 2007.
The call by his people in Nembe constituency one for him to represent them at the state assembly became too loud, hence he threw his hat in the ring and contested for the coveted seat and eventually emerged victorious. His open door policy, brilliant contribution on the floor of the assembly and the numerous constituency project, scholarship and enrolment of so many student of his constituency into different universities at home and abroad he embarked upon was all his people needed to insist that he goes back for another term of four years.
And so in total, Hon. Jonathan Robinson Obuebite spent eight solid years as a legislator chairing some committees chief of which where Education, and Finance and Appropriation. Despite the call for a continuation, Obuebite decided it was time to move on to other challenges so he humbly declined the call for a third term by his people.
His present boss, Governor Seriake Dickson found him to be the right man to head the Media and Publicity directorate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Restoration Campaign Organization in August 2015. He did another remarkable job. He was always in the media selling the content of the campaign organization.
Then in April this year, Governor Dickson (The Ofuruma Pepe, The Great White Shark) gave him the responsibility of managing the information sub sector of the state as the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Orientation. Less than eight months, Hon. Obuebite has proven himself. He has so far competently managed the image of the government to the admiration of many. As a result he has received lots of commendation and an overflowing accolade.
As part of his contribution to capacity building, for the very first time in the history of Bayelsa State, Obuebite organised a youth seminar in partnership with the United Nation in the state and also in same year travelled with the former president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as governor to South Africa in recognition of his youth and student friendly programs by the All African Student Union. He also flew over three hundred youths to Abuja to have a media chat with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, all of these are on record.
Hon. Deacon. Obuebite Jonathan is an administrator per excellent, very versatile in human and resources management. A deep Christian with an uncommon love for God.
Today as he celebrates his birthday he has every reason to be happy and thankful to God almighty for His mercies and grace and for given him a damsel, Engr (Mrs) Ann Amalate Jonathan Obuebite as wife and three amazing kids, Jayson, Kayla and Joel.
To every great man there is a great reward. Obuebite is a great man and the great reward of his loyalty, perseverance and astuteness lies ahead.
Happy Birthday, The Commissioner.
