Ruggedman drags Olamide, Reminisce, W4 to Ibadan for Mbryo •Considers Terry G, Denrele, others

After series of meetings with Rugged Record management in Lagos, an Ibadan-based entertainment outfit, Celebrent, has agreed with the former on organising the “Money Making Music Tour” of Mbryo, the only artiste on Ruggedman’s label for now.
In a phone conversation with Nurdin Latif, Event head of Celebrent, talks had been on with the record label’s management for several weeks till last week when both outfits finally agreed on terms and conditions as they concern the Ibadan-leg of the tour.
Lagos and Ilorin are the two other cities that have been sealed by Ruggedman for Mbryo’s MMM tour.
Latif told R that his company had begun negotiations with club owners in Ibadan  on how to organise a successful show in the city. “Of course,  we expect that the show will promote entertainment in the city as lots of Ibadan-based artistes will be on bandstand with these trending acts, but we also have to be out for  gains too because it will cost a lot to bring these acts to Ibadan.
“Except for Ruggedman that I know loves to eat amala and gbegiri whenever he is in Ibadan, others are not likely to want to come because of that. We will still take them to Rugged’s favourite mamaput for a culinary session that compares to none”, he added.
Confirming the Ibadan tour for which no date has been announced, Kay J, Ruggedman’s manager, told R that the “Go Down Low” rave, Olamide, and Reminisce, have agreed to be part of the tour.
“Ruggedman and these guys have a thing going on. They have mutual respect for each other and also, they have different ways of showing love for each other. This is one of such tours where love and fun will be in the air. Love is coming to Ibadan when we come with our retinue of friends.
Ibadan is our second home. We look forward to the tour”, he said.
Meanwhile, the hosting of Ruggedman, preparatory to the proposed MMM Tour that should have brought the rapper, 2Kay and Mbryo to the city on March 28, has been cancelled.
This, Latif said, is to allow the organisers   adequate time to plan the tour which “we consider a bigger project”.
“There has never been a moment we don’t look forward to travelling to Ibadan. It is a warm and lovely city. We planned to use the hosting to introduce Mbryo to our fans and friends in the city so they could have a feel of what Ruggedman had been cooking all these years”, Kay J reportedly said last week.
The hosting had been scheduled for Club GQ at Bobija, Ibadan.
