Ogoni Youths Shut Down Eleme, Rivers State over Magnus Abe's Shooting
Hundreds of Ogoni Youths are currently protesting the shooting of Senator Magnus Abe by the Rivers state Police command, the youths are demanding the removal of the State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mbu.
All commercial activities in Eleme, Rivers state has been halted due to the protest.
Addressing the press, Celestine Akpobari, Co-ordinator, Ogoni Solidarity
Forum said that the attack on Senator Abe, is a confirmation of former
President Olusegun Obasanjo’s claim that about 1000 politicians have
been placed under watch by President Goodluck Jonathan administration
for possible elimination.
Senator Abe was who is currently on his way to London for proper medical
treatment, was on Sunday, hit by a rubber bullet fired by officers of
the Rivers state Police command.
