Popular Nollywood actress, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha has torn her son, Jaden Akpotha’s school apart with a petition purportedly written by her in 2014!
Reports have it that the school, Kingdom Heritage School, situated on Wempco road, Ogba, Lagos is currently enmeshed in internal crisis following a the Harpic ambassador’s petition.
Allegations are rife that not less than five teaching staff of the primary school, including a Pastor at the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) has been sacked with some demoted and others suspended in response to the said petition.
Inside source disclosed that Chioma in her petition to rid off examination malpractices, accused the teachers at the Kingdom Heritage, Ogba of aiding examination malpractices among the young pupils.
Chioma’s pettion allegedly singled out the school head teacher, Deaconess Olabisi Aderounmu, another Mr. Osuntayo of spearheading the illicit act among the kids.
However, the resultant effect of the petition had seen heads roll in the highly expensive private school as both Mrs. Olabisi Aderounmu and Mr. Osuntayo have been demoted and sacked respectively.
Other teaching staff affected by the management’s action are: Mrs. Afolayan and Mr. Obademi who are both suspended.
Others who received sack letters are the duo of Mr. Michael Omolaoye and Ghanaian born Mr. Ossai who has since returned to his native Ghana.
In the words of the affected teachers and Chioma’s son’s class teacher, Mr. Michael Omolaoye, said the situation that led his dismissal was unwarranted embarrasing.
In his words, “It was a shock to most of us. There was nothing of such in the school before that action was taken. The people who investigated the matter did not do well. We were treated unjustly. The petition which the management acted upon was biased. The photo evidence was taken in my class during a revision exercise and not during exam. I saw the woman who took the picture and reported to the head teacher. It was a wicked act.”
