A team made up of three young Nigerian females who have been in the business of modeling for about
a decade is out to made a difference in
modeling business in Nigeria. The team comprising of
young, dynamic and
talented professionals in persons of Doyin Hastrup Olatokunbo, the Event
Manager
Warebi Martha, the event coordinator and Opeyemi Awoyemi, the
Model Manager, desires pleasure
in providing excellent services with a
touch of class through the modeling business.
Working under the auspices of Tokad International, a registered event
company based in Nigeria,
the young ladies have concluded plans to hold a
Model Competition initially tagged “Face of Tokad”
and which recently
was rebranded, “Pearl Look 2013”.
Scheduled to hold on March 23, 2013 at the Havilah House of Event, Oniru, Victoria Island Lagos,

the competition aims to give young models
the platform to pursue their modeling career in the International
scene.
Speaking recently in Lagos the team of three said, “We believe this
would be a strong foundation for us
to help the society, and to create
basic opportunities for the young ladies to exploit their talents within
the age limit of 16 to 23 years.”
The competition, they said also aims to turn dreams to reality by jump-starting the modeling career of young ladies as well as to raise fashion model of international standard replete with beauty, poise, character and professionalism that can compete favorably in the global market.

“We want a Nigeria that works, where dreams are nurtured to reality,
with a moral and responsible government, and the utilization of young
girl’s natural abilities to build a better nation”, the team of three
noted.
This maiden edition of the competition, which kicked off with the purchase of forms from designated points from which 20 finalists are shortlisted for the grand finale billed for March 23.

“The finalist will undergo intense training on catwalk, style, poises,
and all the multi-facets of the grueling world of modeling. The event
finale will see the finalists strut the runway and the winner will
emerge”, the organisers said.

coming to Nigeria as one of the judges. The 20 contestants
will be
lodged in the hotel for 8 days for preparations and grooming before the
final event.
They will be performing on the runway.
Judges for the competition include the Chief Judge, Jane Hancock who a
representative of
Ice Model Management, South Africa; an Italian Super
Model, Bali Lawal and the Fashion Photographer
of the year 2011/2013

respective positions.
The winner of the first position will be billed for trip to South
Africa (all Expenses paid); work permit
with Ice Models Management,
three-month accommodation and a US$1000 cash prize.
The second runner up
will win a cash of US$1000 cash and a make up kits worth fifty thousand
naira
while the third runner up goes home with US$500 cash and a make
up kits worth fifty thousand naira.
