Bomb explosion in Festac, Lagos

A middle-aged businessman, Oladele Pius, was killed when a bomb which was planted under FESTAC/Mile 2 link bridge, Lagos - few metres away from his office - exploded. The sand dealer was passing by when the bomb exploded. He died on the spot. Pius is survived by his two wives and five children. The legs of a policeman who visited the deceased were shattered as a result of the explosion.
