N*de Women Protesting Against Kaduna State Governor

After months of staying away from the murder sites in the troubled Southern Kaduna region of Kaduna state, Governor Mukhtar Yero finally surfaced in the ‘killing field’ on Monday, only to be greeted by angry women who protested, some without their clothes, against the governor's negligence and poor leadership since he took over the leadership of the state.

Attempts by some prominent politicians to dampen the protest fell on deaf ears as the women said they are sure the governor was not in their town for condolence visit but on a political campaign...

The n*de women protested before the convoy of Governor Mukhtar Yero over the recent killings of over 50 people in Sanga local government area of Kaduna, without any action from the government

An indigene of Sanga local government, residing in the United States, Barrister Sunday Ugah, who is presently in Nigeria, sent Sahara Reporters pictures and details of the governor’s visit to Fadan Karshi.

Government House Director of Finance Killed and Buried Inside his Friend's Bedroom in Sokoto

What a terrible act! Kebbi State Government House’s director of finance, Alhaji Yahaya Saidu has been killed and buried by people suspected to be his business associates at Kwanawa area of Sokoto metropolis.

Briefing newsmen at the Police Command Headquarters, the PPRO, El-Mustapha Sani, a DSP, said sad the incident happened on the 15th of September but they got the report on the 18th and effected arrest on the 19th of September, 2014. The finance director was said to have been called for a meeting by his agent, Bello Ubandawaki who resides in Kwanawa area of Sokoto metropolis on the 15th.

Parading the suspects, the PPRO said the police swung into action after getting the complaint from the late director’s wife that her husband had not been seen for three days.
Police swung into action and went to Bello Ubandawaki’s house, and discovered a newly dug hole cemented in his bedroom; the police dug it and found the corpse and exhumed it. On further investigation, we also arrested some of his accomplices who include Musbau Musa also known as Shagon Dankikiya, Yunusa Ibrahim, Aliyu Sani, Luba Salihu and Fatima Shehu."

The PPRO, however, noted that Luba Salihu is said to be a friend to the deceased while Fatima Shehu is the wife of the principal suspect, Bello Ubandawaki who happens to be one of the children of the Kwanawa village head, Alhaji Dabadda Ubandawaki.

The deceased, before his death, was said to have trusted Bello Ubandawaki as his agent to help him acquire some landed properties within the suburb of the metropolis, Kwanawa, where his father is the village head.

It was gathered that Bello was given no less than N3.5million to help purchase the landed properties, but he failed to deliver. He resorted to inviting the director for a meeting, only to kill and bury him in his house.

Boko Haram Commander Abubakar Shekau is Well and Alive

Borno-born journalist said to be a close ally of Boko Haram, Ahmad Salkida, has dismissed the report that the dreaded commander of the Boko Haram sect has been killing by troops in Konduga area.

Salkida, who is on self-exile in the United Arab Emirates over alleged threats to his life, said he has it good on “authority” that Abubakar Shekau was hale and hearty. Salkida claimed that Shekau, who he had discussions with recently during a failed attempt to negotiate an end to the incarceration of the Chibok girls was not the one in a picture circulating online.
“Mark my words: I have it on authority that Shekau is well and alive. The picture going round is not the person who torments us with his group,” the journalist stated categorically.
So far, no town taken by Boko Haram has been reclaimed by the Nigeria Army. They were only able to prevent Konduga and Maiduguri from falling to the terrorists. Success in the war against terrorism should be felt by those that are affected the most, and not just in the media."

According to him, the Nigerian Army has only been able to repel the taking over of Konduga and Maiduguri but has failed in reclaiming the communities overrun during the sect’s recent expansionist drive.

He accused the security forces of taking the war against terrorism to the pages of the newspapers rather than committing energy and resources in reclaiming the “lost territories.”

“Konduga was a turning point for the Nigeria Army but the journey to an assured future is still long and tough. Nigeria must take this fight away from pages of newspapers and confront it overly. We are yet to get it right but Iet us pray for victory for Nigeria.

“If history is a mirror then what have we learnt? To reclaim lost territories in the north east means to restore peace and order by civil authorities. Is this the case in the north east? I will leave the answer to you. To reclaim lost territories in the north east means to restore peace and order by civil authorities in affected areas,” Salkida added.

Why Nigerian Big Men don't want Buhari to Become President

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Osita Okechukwu, has said the Nigerian elite are opposed to the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as president because they are aware he would wage unreserved war against corruption.
He said as president, Buhari would rubbish the belief that there is no ideological difference between the APC and the PDP, by implementing the manifesto of the opposition party.
Mr. Okechukwu stated this in a goodwill message at the launching ceremony of Friends of Buhari, in Abuja. The group is pushing for the election of Buhari as candidate in the 2015 presidential election.
"The tiny top elite are fully aware that General Muhammadu Buhari as a President will stridently, in line with the Manifesto of the APC, wage war against corruption. They know he will build new refineries, having built two before as Petroleum Minister; hence putting a stop to petroleum products importation where they make billions without query. They know he will not carry raw cash to South Africa to buy military equipment or under fund the Army. They know that he and Tam David-West are the only former Ministers of Petroleum who neither own an oil block nor a petrol station...
"They know that Buhari is the face of APC, that with him as a presidential candidate, the raging puzzle debate that there is no ideological difference between the PDP and APC will stop. That’s why they crave for PDP vs PDP presidential contest.
"It is also pertinent to inform you Friends of Buhari that the Tiny Top Elite are not relenting in their bid to stop Buhari from serving the long suffering, long exploited and long looted Nigerian masses.”

Ebola:Teachers Slam FG's decision to reopen schools, threathen to go on strike ...

The Nigerian Union of Teachers has threatened to go on strike if the Federal Government fails to put in place measures to protect its members and pupils from contracting the deadly Ebola Virus Disease before the   resumption of schools. But the Federal Government says there is no going back on the date since there is no scientific basis for schools to remain shut beyond the September 22 resumption date announced by the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau.

The NUT National President, Michael Alogba told Punch
“In any sane society, decision such as this will not be taken until the government and all stakeholders have met and discussed the issue at stake and are sure that the nation is scientifically and medical free from the scourge. But this is not the case in our country. When they arrived at the early October 13 date, they wrote us and we agreed with their argument but when this new date was given, they did not because of the influence of some powerful school owners who put pressure on them (Federal Government) to announce the September 22 date....
“Anyway, we have written to tell them that if the   Federal Government does not shift the date and provide all necessary safety measures in schools before Monday next week, all NUT leaders will meet in Abuja by 9am on Tuesday to decide our fate by ourselves. “Though I don’t want to preempt the outcome of the meeting but as teachers who have families and who should protect our future, I mean our students, we will shun the classes; we will call for strike. What kind of government is this, don’t they know that children can never be as hygienic as adults? Don’t they know that the immunity level of children is not as high as that of adults? Why do you want to open schools when you have not cleared out the virus; when you still have about 400 people under surveillance in Port Harcourt and Lagos?
“You are aware of what is happening at the Obafemi Awolowo University. How are we sure that there is no primary or secondary school pupil that has had   contact with an Ebola patient. It’s good that the   NMA (Nigerian Medical Association) has spoken and we have told them too that we would not cooperate with them. That   is why we are going to take a drastic action on Tuesday to protect ourselves and our children.I can tell you that we will shun schools; we won’t cooperate with them. In other words, we will embark on strike.”

Ebola:Sister and wife of late Dr Enemuo discharged

Contrary to earlier reports, the female OAU(Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife)  student who was rushed to Lagos quarantine center is still under observation. She had contact with the late doctor at a naming ceremony where he also attended. She fell ill yesterday (Tuesday),also exhibited symptoms which bore resemblance to Ebola infection.

However, the wife and sister of the late Port Harcourt doctor have been cleared and discharged. This was confirmed by the health minister today.Lagos currently has 16 contacts under surveillance for total of 350 contacts so far discharged after 21 days observation.

The minister also said Port Harcourt now has 490 under surveillance, 16 contacts discharged after completing 21 days of observation.

Nigeria has no single current case of Ebola Virus Disease, last patient managed successfully & discharged, making 12 survivors & 7 dead.

Cultists kill,eat 9-Year old boy in Minna(Photo)

The Police in Niger State have apprehended an unusual cult group which specialises in eating roasted human flesh among its members.

The police informed that the incident occurred on August 21, 2014 .The members of the cult group included an aged grandmother, Fatima (surname withheld). Her accomplices include Tetengi (male) and one Aminatu (surnames withheld).

Crime & Security gathered that prior to their arrest, a nine-year-old boy, Umar, was handed over by his father, Mohammed (surname withheld) to his mother, Fatima, to assist in looking after the little boy pending his arrival from a short journey within the state.

It was further learnt that no sooner had Mohammed departed for the journey that his mother, Fatima, who happens to be the first suspect, gave the boy to the second suspect, Tetengi with an understanding to slaughter the boy and share his body among the three of them which included Aminatu.

Further checks revealed that the victim was allegedly slaughtered by Tetengi, who roasted the boy and shared his body with Fatima and Aminatu as planned.

When the father of the victim returned from his short trip outside the village, he was said to have asked his mother for his son whom he kept with her, and the first suspect allegedly informed her son that the little boy disappeared shortly after Mohammed left her house and that she had not set her eyes on the little boy since then.

A police source at the Homicide unit of the Criminal Investigation Department, Niger State Police Command headquarters, Minna, revealed that the father of the victim invited an Islamic scholar to unravel the mysterious disappearance of the boy.
“Apparently unconvinced by his mother’s argument, the father of the victim, Mohammed, was said to have invited an Islamic cleric in the neighbourhood to come and assist him unravel the mysterious disappearance of his son, Umar, from his mother’s custody.”
The source noted that the outcome of the cleric’s prayer revealed that the first suspect, Fatima, was allegedly not being sincere about her claims with regards to the mysterious disappearance of her grandson, Umar.

Thereafter the case was taken to the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji (Dr) Yahaya Abubakar, paramount ruler of Nupeland and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, with the view to know the next step to be taken by the aggrieved father over the disappearance of his son.

The monarch was said to have directed the man and his family members to report the matter to the authorities of the state Police Command in order to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of the nine-year-old boy.
The suspects allegedly confessed to the crime during interrogation by the homicide detectives attached to the department, as one of the suspects was said to have informed the police, upon interrogation, that human flesh was tastier than those of animals.
This was based on the suspect’s alleged experience while eating the roasted body of the nine-year-old boy.

Man locks wife in bathroom for 3 years for giving birth to a girl

A 25-year-old mother was locked in a bathroom for three years and banned from seeing her child because she gave birth to a girl.
The Indian woman found with overgrown nails and torn clothes could not open her eyes in the sunlight. And she wept inconsolably when her daughter did not recognise her.
According to the International Business Times,Chief officer Seema Kumari said:

'The woman could barely open her eyes in the sunlight, as she had survived in darkness and dim light, closeted in the small space. 'The woman revealed that she was thrown into the bathroom and locked there. She was not allowed to see her child, and given leftover food irregularly. It was as if her in-laws were seeking revenge for not bringing ample dowry and for giving birth to a girl child.'
Police officials said that the victim was married to Prabhat Kumar Singh in 2010 but soon after the wedding, she was allegedly repeatedly tortured by her husband and in-laws and told to bring in more dowry. When the dowry demands were unmet and she gave birth to a baby girl, she was locked up.

"She was never allowed to go meet her parents. When her relatives visited Darbhanga to meet her, they were dissuaded or shooed away.
"She was also barred from interacting with anybody from outside. She immediately asked for her three-year-old daughter and wept inconsolably when the child could not recognize her,"
The victim was eventually rescued by police after her father Shyam Sundar Singh filed a complaint at the Darbhanga police station.

'White Witches 'arrested for duping couple of N14.5m(Photo)

The men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested two ‘white witches’ and two other members of a fraud syndicate who allegedly duped a couple of N14.5m.

The ‘witches’ ─ Risikat Oriyomi, Sola Babalola; and the other suspects; Shehu Salam, and Wasiu Ajani ─ were arrested in Omusorin village, Obafemi/ Owode Local Government Area.

The fifth suspect, who was said to be the ring leader, Baba Awotola, was said to have fled on sighting the men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

Ajani, a native of Ilorin, Kwara State, who claimed to be an Islamic cleric, was said to have got the couple into the net of the syndicate.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, who led the police team to the fraudsters’ operational base on Tuesday, said Ajani lured the couple, who were rice merchants, into the syndicate’s net.

Ajani was said to have used the name of a late popular Islamic cleric to hoodwink the victims.
Ikemefuna explained that Ajani, on the fateful day, was dressed in Islamic cassock and hung nine different praying rosaries on his neck.

He was said to have approached the couple around Owode Onirin, Lagos State, and given them a revelation of a problem before them which needed to be warded off through special prayers.
He said,

“The suspect also told them to buy a measure of salt and give it as alms to three beggars. He later told the husband to buy a local egg, and used it to pray, circling it around his head three times.”
According to the commissioner, Ajani later used the egg as a bait to lure the couple to their den, where the gang began to swindle them.
The couple, who pleaded anonymity, said the syndicate, under the pretence of warding off the evil before them, collected N14.5m in three installments.

According to the couple, the syndicate used the two women, Risiqat and Sola as ‘white witches’ who claimed to offer prayers to ward off evil.

The witches, who claimed to have descended from heaven, were said to have demanded money to fly back to heaven.

Ajani said he got the information about the couple from Baba Awotola.

He said,
“Baba Awotola introduced me to this shady business. He was the one who gave the information about the couple. He promised me a car and a sum of N300,000, but he only gave me and Shehu N100,000 each.”
The ‘witches’ claimed they got N5,000 each per visitation.

Ebola survivors lose jobs, accomodation in Lagos......

Lagos State is warning against the stigmatisation of Ebola Survivors, stating that many of them are being evicted or fired after being given a clean bill of health. The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, said on Tuesday during a press briefing in Alausa, Ikeja, that .......
“The social problem being faced by discharged cases has been reported to the government. This ranges from stigmatisation, eviction from their accommodation, being asked to stay away from work and termination of employment. We have had cases of employers just terminating the employment of their workers who were just mere contacts, not even suspected cases.
We believe this is unfair and we feel this impedes on their fundamental human rights.
“Now, the Ministry of Justice will take the matter up. Anybody, whether a discharged patient or a contact followed up, who feels stigmatised, can petition the Ministry of Justice and the Attorney General of Lagos State and the government will take that matter up on their behalf.”Stigmatisation will reverse the gains so far made in the containment and management of this outbreak. People who come down with Ebola may not come out and this may jeopardise not only their lives, but their family members and other people they come in contact with. That’s why it is essential that people should stop that.
Or else, i will use my Amebo power to........

President Jonathan orders immediate removal of all offensive #BringBackJonathan signs

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has directed that the #Bring Back Jonathan 2015 signs and banners around Abuja which he and many Nigerians find offensive and repugnant  be brought down immediately.
President Jonathan wholly shares the widely expressed view that the signs which were put up without his knowledge or approval are a highly insensitive parody of the #Bring Back Our Girls hash tag.

While President Jonathan appreciates the enthusiastic show of support for his administration  by a broad range of stakeholders, he condemns the #Bring Back Jonathan 2015 signs which appear to make light of the very serious national and global concern for the abducted Chibok girls.

The President assures all Nigerians and the international community that his administration remains fully engaged with efforts to rescue the abducted girls and that he will not knowingly promote any actions that will fly in the face of the seriousness of their plight and the anguish of their families.

Boko Haram Shoots Obasanjo's Son in Mubi; 24 Soldiers Killed

There is serious fear in the land. Boko Haram terrorists on Monday attacked a platoon led by the son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, shooting him in the cross fire. He sustained serious injuries to his legs and was being transported to the hospital at the time of this report.

Adeboye Obasanjo, an army engineer, is a Lieutenant Colonel. He and his platoon were engaged with Boko Haram at Baza, which is the village of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3rd division when the incident took place.
The Lieutenant Agwu of the 234 battalion, GOC of the 3rd Division, Major Gen JS Zaruwa and Col. Victor Ebhaleme who serves as the Brigade Commander of the 23rd Army brigade in Yola were all together advancing towards Michika when Boko Haram dreaded fighters unleashed the deadly attack on the Nigerian soldiers...

According to SR, 24 soldiers in the platoon were reportedly killed by the militants.
Apart from the dead soldiers, the army also lost an armored tank to the militants. As a result of the attack, the army has moved sensitive weapons from mubi to the Brigade headquarters in Yola leaving mubi vulnerable to attack. The town of Mubi has practically been deserted following the closure of schools and massive retreat of soldiers from the city.

President Obasanjo, who is also trying to mediate in the Boko Haram saga, is said to be out of the country.

B'Haram Kills Colonel, Vows to Take over Chief of Defence Staff Residence in Adamawa

Boko Haram is carrying out daring attacks and seriously gaining grounds, sad but true. In a bid to expand the territory of their Islamic caliphate, Boko Haram staged an attack to capture Mubi in Adamawa State, the home town of the Chief of Defence staff, Air Chief Marshall Alex Badeh, on Monday.

They engaged a contingent of Nigerian troops who are fighting back to take hold of the town. Though the town is yet to fall but the casualty already suffered by the military may soon force the Nigerian soldiers to surrender their hold on the city just as they did to Michika, another major town captured.
Abusidiqu learnt that in the fierce battle to save Mubi from falling, the Boko Haram insurgents burnt down the home of the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3 Division, Major General Zaruwa, killed a senior military officer in the rank of a Colonel and several soldiers while the son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Lt Col. Adeboye Obasanjo who is serving in Yola, Adamawa state was also shot and seriously wounded by Boko Haram gunfire.
The military suffered the casualty while racing to save Mubi in the company of the GOC, 3 Division, Major General Zaruwa. The GOC’s convoy was said to have come under heavy ambush gunfire from the terrorists who killed the Colonel and shot Lt. Col. Obasanjo in the process...

While the corpses of some of the killed soldiers have been recovered and deposited in the morgue in Yola, Lt. Col Obasanjo was also said to be responding to treatment in a military hospital. A source at the Defence Headquarters said the wounded officer may be flown to Abujafor better medical attention.

A source in the town also disclosed that the deadly insurgents vowed to seize the town and hoist their flag on the residence of the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshall Alex Badeh.

The Boko Haram insurgents seem to be getting more daring and determined in their push to capture substantial part of the North East with major towns in Borno, Yobe and now Adamawa already fall

Female Poly Student R*ped Three Times by Soldier in Ibadan

A 23-year-old National Diploma, ND, student of Mass Communication Department, Ibarapa Polytechnic in Ibadan on Monday narrated how she was r*ped under a tree by one of the security men attached to Operation Burst set up by the state government to check criminality in the state.

The sad incident happened in Eruwa around 10.30pm on August 29 while she was returning after seeing off a friend. She said she was r*ped for five hours before she was let off the hook by the soldier.

How it happened
According to her, the soldier allegedly ordered her to climb the motorcycle while threatening to stab her with a knife. She said: “It happened on Friday, August 29, 2014. I was coming back to my room after seeing off a friend. He accused me of being a cultist for moving about around that time, but I denied it. He then ordered me to climb his motorcycle, but I pleaded with him that he should let me go.

“He removed a knife and said that he would stab me if I refused to obey him. So scared, I climbed the Okada and he took me to the Operation Burst office in Eruwa.

“When we got there, he forcefully led me to a dark area under a tree and ordered me to remove my dress to enable him see if I had tattoos on my body...

“I told him I did not have tattoos and that he should let me go. He then removed the knife again and said that he would slaughter me like a ram if I failed to ‘cooperate’ and that I would be buried like many other girls who had failed to cooperate in the past, and nobody would trace my death to him.

“Sensing danger, I removed my clothes. He ordered me to lie down under the tree and had s*x with me several times while I was crying.

“He r*ped me till 3:30am and I complained of catching cold. He entered into the office and brought out a bottle of beer. He gave it to me to hold for him.

“Later he said he was going to bring a blanket for me to cover my body. I waited for about 30 minutes, but when he did not return, I dressed up and ran away.”

Case reported at Police station
The victim’s counsel, Mr. Adeosun, confirmed her story, saying: “In the morning of Saturday, August 30, 2014, the victim called her parents on the telephone and told them what happened. It was the parents that came to brief our office. We thereafter advised that the victim should report to the Police Station at Eruwa, which she did.”

When the matter was reported to the security outfit, the girl identified the rapist among other security operatives paraded before her.

To worsen her ordeal, the Eruwa General Hospital where she went for test did not help matter. She said on arrival in the hospital, the doctor she met told her to buy hand gloves which she did.

She said: “The doctor told me to lie down and use his phone torchlight to examine my private part and wrote a report that although there was no trace of semen, the private part had been tampered with.”

It was gathered that the doctor claimed he could not carry out test on the inner part of the vagina because the hospital did not have the facilities to carry out such test.

Unfortunately the result of the test did not confirm r*pe:
“The outfit’s Second in Command and the DPO took the complainant to the Eruwa General Hospital for medical examination, the result of which they said proved negative.

“The soldier will, however, be charged for abandoning his duty post in the night without permission against standing instructions in the Operation Burst’s code of conduct.”

So This is What Jonathan & his Boys are Doing to Boko Haram

Boko Haram is devising tactics to chase Nigerian soldiers and take over the residence of a GOC, hoisting their flags in big Nigerian towns, declaring caliphate, etc. But what do we get from Presidency boys who are suppose to give us hope of a better counter strategy? They are praying.

President Jonathan's senior aide on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe, has become a prayer warrior overnight over this Boko Haram madness. I also saw a post somewhere of Nigerian Military calling for prayers in the fight against Boko Haram.

And this is just our problem in Nigeria. Men who steal public funds, enjoy themselves with small girls in all kinds of hotels in the world, now coming out to talk of prayer. Who is fooling who?

Did the American leadership call for prayers to catch Osama Bin Laden? In fact, Nigeria is in trouble!

UPDATE: Soldiers Flee as Boko Haram Approaches Maiduguri

At this stage, is Doyin Okupe and all his Ogas still praying? Is it God that will "send down fire" to defeat those Boko Haram idiots or the Billions of Naira allocated for security should be used for the needful?

As the rampaging Boko Haram insurgents continue their attacks in Northern Nigeria, towards Maiduguri, it seems Nigerian soldiers are nearing the giving up stage, with soldiers deserting and thousands of innocent Nigerians in the areas fleeing the towns and villages.

At night, a resident said he was awake and heard gun shots from a distance. “Nobody can sleep anymore,” the resident of Maiduguri township, who wanted to remain anonymous, confirmed.

Gwoza, Bama, Gulak, Michika, Duhu, Shuwa, Kirshinga captured by insurgents
The terrorists have been capturing new cities on an almost daily basis. They arrive in hijacked army vehicles, fight off the Nigerian troops and terrorise the residents.

Terrorists are better equipped —Military
The morale of the government troops is very low and the terrorists are better equipped. Military officers said: “We cannot do anything against Boko Haram, because most of the Boko Haram are using modern automatic weapons and the military is using AK47s.”

Also, Senator Ahmed Zanna has cried out: “Boko Haram are committing all kinds of atrocities killing and raping. At the same time they are taking young girls in batches and the city is littered with dead bodies.”
Bama is 70 kilometers (43.5 miles) from Maiduguri and fell to the Islamists four days ago. Senator Zanna recounts how the soldiers who were supposed to defend Bama, refused to advance any further, noting, “They were ill equipped and they just stayed in Kondudga.”

Sect gunning for Maiduguri
Maiduguri would be a major win for Boko Haram in their hope of creating an Islamist-ruled state. “Even a brief capture of Borno’s capital, will be a significant symbolic victory for Boko Haram,” said Ryan Cummings, a South African security expert, who is also a member of the Nigerian Security Networks. Capturing Maiduguri would give Boko Haram a very strong boost, believes the Nigerian expert Nnamdi Obasi of the International Crisis Group, added. With Maiduguri, the Islamists would not only control a major city but also an international airport.

According to Vanguard, a reporter in Mubi, Adamawa State, said the town can also fall prey to Boko Haram.

“We all live in fear,” explained a resident. “Because soldiers come into our houses, take off their uniforms and put on civilian clothes. So if the military is already fleeing the fight, we don’t stand a chance.”

Over 10,000 flee the fighting
Thousands of people have fled the fighting. In Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, residents have taken in those who had to leave their homes. Ten people now live in one room and a woman who goes by the name of Aisha explained their fate: “There is nobody left in our town. Everyone has left, because the terrorists came into our town and they killed the people. We are desperate for help.”

In Maiduguri, residents are now also preparing to leave. “The people are scared. Many have already left the city,” said a woman who chose to remain anonymous. “We who remain here, hope that God will help us.”

The residents have armed themselves with sticks. They no longer believe that the army will defend them. Thousands of young men have now gathered in Maiduguri and are demanding that the government recognize them as local defence groups, so that they can officially support the soldiers.

“There are soldiers in the city, but they are not well-armed,” explained a resident who had trouble sleeping. Even the Senator Ahmed Zanna is unsure whether the army can defend Maiduguri: “If Bama with an army of 1,000 can fall within three to five hours, then there is every likelihood that these people will advance towards Maiduguri.”

Bama under government control —Official
In the meantime, official sources say that Bama is once again under government control and that Maiduguri is safe for now. Nevertheless, the residents remain skeptical.

So, Nigeria is now a state where people call on God for a physical war? Oh dear, what a sorry state!

He Got Me Pregnant, we Got Married; It All Happened So Fast ––Yobo's Wife Adaeze

Many people have been wondering how Joseph Yobo and Adaeze's paths crossed before they hurriedly got married. Well, you have all the answers and more here. Adaeze told The Sun that she didn't even know that the guy was a rich footballer. If I hear! lols!! Anyway, things happen:

How did you meet your husband?
I met him in Nigeria through a friend at an event. From there, we became close friends. I became pregnant and we got married immediately. Everything happened in a very short time. A lot of people thought it wasn’t going to work but at that moment, I knew I felt something I had never felt with anyone in my life and I said to myself, why not take that chance? I’m quite prayerful , so I knew there’s no way I could err, though I never planned getting married so early. I had so many dreams of what I wanted in life. Marriage was the last thing on my mind. It happened so fast and I thought I should give it a shot.

Do you regret marrying him?
Not at all. No marriage can ever be perfect. Even my relationship with my mum can never be perfect. I have never regretted any moment with my husband and I always say to my sisters and cousins that I don’t know what I could have been without my husband. I wondered the kind of man I would have ended up with if I didn’t marry him. I thank God that He planned my life and I’m living the life He planned for me. God has been gracious to me in every way.

So, what attracted you to him?
When we first met, I didn’t know who he is really. He didn’t know that I was the most beautiful girl in Nigeria. When I knew he was a footballer, I said to myself this relationship might not work or lead us anywhere, because of the lifestyle of some footballers who have so many girlfriends.
