Woman Sleéps with her Daughter's Boyfriend, Fights her Openly

Immorality is reigning supreme in the land, the family is the first casualty. How else are we suppose to describe this open madness between a mother and her own daughter? Total show of shame!

As you read this, a 42-year-old woman in Asaba, Delta State, identified as Monica has threw caution to the wind as she engaged her 17-year-old daughter in a physical fight for allegedly snatching her boyfriend.

Sources in the area said that the mother was alleged to have snatched the daughter’s boyfriend, who works in one of the oil companies in Warri. The guy is rich!

Eyewitness said that a shocking scene was created around St. Brigid’s Girls College in Asaba, Delta State, on Sunday afternoon as the mother and daughter exchanged blows...

As both of them engaged themselves in a fight, motorists on the popular busy road stopped to watch what one of them described as "a big show of shame".

The daughter was said to have become furious when she heard that her boyfriend was caught pants down with her own mother in an hotel in the state. The trouble between mother and daughter became aggravated when the lover boy began to act in a strange manner towards the girl. It seems the mother is sweeter than her daughter. Double wahala!

While the show of shame lasted, the daughter was said to have called her own mother a shameless woman and a prostitute, who drove their father (her husband) out of the house with her unbridled quest for sex.

According to Leadership, one of the mother's relation also blamed her for being so shameless in her acts.

 This is the heartbreaking moment a young Palestinian man looking for his family  was shot by an Israeli sniper .The sad footage was captured by Muhammad Abdellah, an activist from the pro-Palestinian International Solidarity Movement...

 His team came across the young Palestinian man, who told them he was looking for his family, and that they followed him in an attempt to help him find his relatives.As they tried to make their way across a heavily damaged area, shots suddenly rang out.

The first sent the group scrambling for cover, but did not hit anyone, but the second hits the man in the green t-shirt.'Israeli soldier sniper hit him in his hip, so he laid down. And I started to ask him 'can you move?' Because if he can move, maybe he can roll around and go to the other place, but he said 'no, I cannot move, like my blood is going everywhere.''
Then, the Palestinian was hit a second time as he lay on the ground.

Messi comparison inspired Gotze, says Low

Germany coach Joachim Low said he told match-winner Mario Gotze he could outdo Argentina's Lionel Messi in the FIFA World Cup final.

Gotze struck the decisive goal in the 113th minute at the Maracana, sealing Germany's fourth World Cup success with a 1-0 extra-time victory.

The Bayern Munich man chested down a cross from Andre Schurrle on the left before volleying in the Cup-winning goal.

Low said he inspired Gotze, telling him to outshine eventual Golden Ball winner Messi.

"I told Gotze to show the world you're better than Messi. I had a good feeling with him," Low said.

Low said their triumph came down to a 10-year plan that eventually bore fruit, with now United States coach Jurgen Klinsmann among those the German boss credited the win to.

"We started this project 10 years ago and what has happened today is the result of many years' work, starting with Jurgen Klinsmann," said Low, with Klinsmann coaching Germany from 2004-06.

"We've made constant progress, we believed in the project, we worked a lot and, if any group deserves it, it's this team. 

"We've always played good football and I believe that over this tournament, over seven matches, we've shown the best performances of any of the teams here in Brazil. 

"The boys have also developed a team spirit which is unbelievable."

Low said their narrow victory was all they required, and that "champions" get the job done in tight situations.

"Champions will do what they have to do," Low said.

"We never stopped dreaming about this for years and worked hard to achieve."

Pres. Jonathan, Obasanjo, Babangida & others Attend National Council of States Meeting in Abuja

President Goodluck Jonathan, former Nigerian presidents, and other leaders are attending the National Council of States meeting currently taking place today, July 8th, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The former presidents who are at the meeting are: Ibrahim Babangida, Olusegun Obasanjo, Shehu Shagari, Yakubu Gowon, Ernest Shonekan, and Abdusalami Abubakar. Muhammadu Buhari was absent. 

It’s the second time the meeting is being held this year.

The National Council of States, is the highest advisory body to the serving president. It consists of “the Vice President, former heads of states, governors of the 36 states including Abuja’s minister, former and present Chief Justices of the Federation, the Senate President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the Inspector General of Police,” according to Sahara Reporters.

Among the issues discussed at the  meeting include a replacement for  outgoing Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar - whose tenure ends this month. Abubakar has been in the force for 35 years.

Keshi Reportedly Requests for N10Million a Month in New Contract

Stephen Keshi, who earlier announced that his contract as the head coach of the Super Eagles had expired, has presented the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) with his requests to return as the coach.

African Football on Tuesday, reported that Keshi told President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan that he will sign a new deal if the NFF agrees to pay him N10million a month.

In his initial contract, he received N5million

He reportedly made the demand when he met President Jonathan at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, when he arrived from the world tournament in Brazil.

Keshi is said to have demanded for upfront payment to avoid delays he had with his former deal, and to recall his former assistant Sylvanus Okpalla.

“He also wanted what he called a free hand as regards his team selection and preparations, saying he no longer wishes to deal with the technical committee.He also wanted Okpalla back to his backroom staff.

The President has assured him that his demands will be considered.” claimed a source.

The news comes after reports that he got a $260,000 pay for the World Cup.

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks‘ husband has been sentenced to 8 years in federal prison for charges of mail, wire, and bank fraud. The 35-year-old stole more than $2.3 million from 50 people.

Apollo who was meant to bag 30 years in jail, got a quarter of the sentence for cooperating with federal investigators by telling them criminal secrets, TMZ reports.

In a recent interview, Apollo who met Phaedra while she was defending his case, said that his wife should stay married to him no matter how long he spends in jail.

The couple have two sons together.

The 21-year-old Redeemer’s University student who made headlines for killing his father breaks his silence on the trending issue.

The 300-level student of the Department of History and International Relations, said he was ready to face the consequences of his action when speaking to reporters on Tuesday at the Eleweran Police Headquarters, Abeokuta, Ogun.

Here’s what he said;

“There is no way Nigerians can help me. I am going to face my judgement. I am meant to pay for what I have done. It is not as if I am ready, it is something that is inevitable – something that is going to happen; I am just waiting for it.

My mother is still grieving. I have sent some people to talk to her that I am sorry. I want to give her time. I have talked to my sister. I have asked for forgiveness.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. when the church would have been sleeping by then. It was anger that led me to this. There was an argument between us and I stood up to him.

He beat me with a stick and bit me with his teeth repeatedly. Just the two of us were at home; my mother was in Abuja.

I tried to defend myself, then he bit me on my shoulder and I got angry. I used normal small kitchen knife then I used a cutlass to attack him. I regret the action.

My father came for a programme; then, my school was on break so I went to meet him. We were meant to go back to Abuja together then the incident happened and I am here.”

Abuja Airport Runway to be Shut Down for 3 Days – FAAN

The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, will be closing its runway for three days.

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) made the announcement, Punch reports.

The runway will be closed for three days starting from Saturday to enable the airport authorities to conduct maintenance on the facility.

Coordinating General Manager, Aviation Parastatals, Yakubu Dati, released a statement concerning this news.  Here are excerpts:

This facility upgrade, which is in line with ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) requirements and NCAA (Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority) approved Safety Standard and Recommended Practices, will further elevate safety and security to greater heights.
FAAN hereby apologises for the inconvenience this temporary closure will cause air passengers and airline operators.

The remains of  founder of Christ Revival Victory Chapel International Lagos, Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku, who died 11 months ago on August 22nd 2013, will finally be buried on July 17th 2014.

Prophet Ajanaku's widow, Joy Ajanaku and some elders of the church believed that Ajanaku will rise again, and that was why his body was kept for so long. i guess they now know the man is really gone.

Late Transport Minister To Be Buried Tomorrow.

Second Republic Minister of Transport, Alhaji Umaru Dikko, who died on Tuesday in London, would be buried on Friday the family revealed.
According to the Family source, the corpse of the late minister, who died at age 78, would arrive Kaduna Tuesday on night and buried in Zaria on Wednesday.
Although speculations say it might indeed not happen due to “logistics an diplomatic reasons”.
