• Needs N5m for urgent surgery
By GILBERT EKEZIEProsper Obande Ogenyi was born on June 6, this year, hale and hearty. Her parents were happy for his handsome looks and size. His naming ceremony was well celebrated, being the first baby boy in the family of three children. But soon after, trouble started. After five weeks, he developed slight fever, accompanied by cough and catarrh. He was also breathing profusely and was very restless. He could neither sleep nor eat well. He cried regularly. It was then that his parents knew that there was a problem.Without delay, he was taken to the General Hospital, Isolo, where he was examined and drugs administered to him. But when the symptoms persisted, he was referred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja on July 14. There, various tests were conducted on him and nothing was detected as the major cause of his problem. However, he was given medications for pneumonia and other symptoms. And after some days, the problem subsided and he was discharged.
