Arsenal Set To Break Record With Bid For Midfielder

Arsenal Head Coach Arsene Wenger looks set to make a club record £30 million bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Player. The 20-year-old Gotze, who was also linked with Manchester United in the past, has a £30 million buyout clause in his contract and Arsenal are willing to match the price.
GotzeWenger has £70 million in his transfer kitty but that amount would have to cover new players’ wages as well. He is also looking to promote a few other academy starlets to rejuvenate his club’s fallen reputation. Fans would be eager to keep tabs Wenger’s moves in the transfer market in the summer having gone eight years without silverware. Despite the frustration, the board and fans have remained faithful to the manager who threatened Man Utd’s dominance of the English game during his early years with the club. Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue and Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina are also said to be on the French manager’s wish list.
