The American skier, who has been rumored to be dating Tiger Woods for some reason, was badly injured today at the World Championships in Schladming, Austria.
The crash took place on the opening day of the women's Super-G event
and Vonn had to be airlifted to a local hospital as soon as a helicopter
could arrive on the scene.
The race had been delayed by fog, but it's unknown at this time if weather played a role in the accident. Very early reports indicate the four-time world champion may have suffered a tibial plateau fracture after losing her balance following a jump.
She skidded off course and hit a gate before coming to a standstill.
