The multi-talented choir of Elim Chapel, Ikosi, Ketu, Lagos recently hosted their much anticipated self sponsored annual “Festival of Praise Concert” with lots of sweet memories for their audience and music lovers. It was an exotic night of not just excellent gospel music ministrations and performances, but vintage and electrifying Gospel music with all of its varieties.
Although, there were no big names like the Sammie Okposo, Lara Georges or Midnight crews of this world, it was a rare opportunity as they expressed their talents in music, comedy and program presentation.. The excited guests and audience had an unspeakable heavenly experience as they were rocked with all gospel music genres ranging from Pop, Jazz, RNB, Fuji, Praise and Worship among others by the artistes who dazzled with stunning swagger.
The chief hosts of the concert, “Trailblazers”, were in a distinct class of their own. Led by the University of Ife graduate wonder boy, Moses Williams aka Treashure, took the audience to an unusual musical trip.
Most outstandingly was the rendition of the hit song “Praise You Forever”. Other gospel artistes that that distinguished themselves were Niyi Jazz, RNB Singer Ellavibes, Gospel Fuji gem, Mr. DAT (Dare Akinola), Just Debbie and the wonderful Praise Percussion (PPC). A guest Onyekachi Obike, President of Dynamic Force Youth Club, Ketu, said “I had a swell time from the beginning till the end of the show. Most importantly, I have been exposed to the wonderful opportunities of excelling in life with my vast talents.” Theatre practitioner, Olamide Moshood took a bow for Trailblazers with their new age of spirit-filled contemporary Gospel Music Concert.
