President Goodluck Jonathan has touched down in Accra, Ghana this morning for the swearing in ceremony of Ghanaian President elect, John Mahama.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati confirmed the president’s trip today via his micro-blogging social networking site, Twitter.
“President Jonathan travels to Ghana to attend the swearing in of President John D. Mahama. Returns later today”. Abati tweeted using his handle @abati1990.
Doctor Jonathan is leading the Nigerian delegation to the event which is the aftermath of a keenly contested Ghana’s presidential elections last December
